(MLG Vietnam) opened a new office in Thai Binh Province, northern Vietnam, effective May 16.<\/p>\n<p>Thai Binh Province is in the Red River Delta, about a three-hour drive from Hanoi and about two hours from Haiphong, where the apparel production industry is thriving and moderate labor costs are attracting labor-intensive enterprises. Recently, access from Thai Binh Province to Haiphong, northern Vietnam&#8217;s major port, has been improved, drawing more Japanese companies to the area.<\/p>\n<p>MLG Vietnam moved into Thai Binh Province, where few Japanese logistics companies are doing business, to provide customers &#8211; mostly manufacturers &#8211; with a range of services, mainly ocean and air forwarding and arrangement of domestic transport including export\/import customs clearance and drayage. It will also propose various logistics operations such as moving plant facilities for customers setting up manufacturing bases in the region.<\/p>\n<p>MLG Vietnam was established in November 2005.
